The ink or ink pad you choose will depend on the surface you will be using, and the effect you wish to create. Dye-based inks are quick drying, general-purpose ink pads that dye the fibres of the surface. Pigment ink pads are thicker in texture than dye-based inks. They dry on top of the surface meaning that their drying time is longer. They are therefore perfect to use with heat embossing, as the powder has more time to stick to the wet surface. Other options include Stazon; the ultimate permanent ink pad (ideal for watercolours), Distress Inks which add texture, and rainbow pads, offering a spectrum of different colours to choose from.
