Pigment ink pads are thicker in texture than dye-based inks. They dry on top of the surface meaning that their drying time is longer. They are therefore perfect to use with heat embossing, as the powder has more time to stick to the wet surface.
The colour of the pigment ink used is likely to be more vibrant and longer lasting, as it remains on the surface. Pigment inks are also fade resistant meaning they are ideal for scrapbooking, and projects that require longevity.
